“BLOOD TYPE FORTUNE-TELLING”
What do you use to tell your fortune? In
From some publishing companies, a lot books written about this peculiar fortune-telling have been published.
Some (both children and adults) believe this fortune-telling fervently, but on the other hand, others don’t believe this at all. Perhaps the latter think that it is so ridiculous, however, those who are enthusiastic about this “blood type fortune-telling” book really like fortune-telling itself.
This is popular only among Asian countries such
as
According to these books, we seem to be classified into four groups by blood types.
In some books, it is written that each blood type people has represents different personalities.
Blood
type A : nervous temperament, hardworking type, inflexibility Blood
type B : intuition, artistic, delicate Blood
type O : careless, having leadership, sociable
What do you think of them?
Following couples are the best… (m)=male (f)=female Type A (m) and Type O (f) Type B (m) and (Surprisingly, the authors of these kinds
of books state as if he knew everything about people!)
Do you believe in the explanation these statements?
In addition to blood type, we also seem to be classified by own birthday and sex. (Using these three factors we can be classified into many types!)
Then, there should be some questions. Why do Japanese people believe this so easily?
As stated above, those who like this blood type fortune-telling are enthusiastic about fortune-telling itself (or probably, they just want something interesting. We tend to think that a fortune-telling is just an interesting thing.)
But then, why do people attempt to know their own fortune? Why do people tend to trust their own fortune with own blood type?
My view is that we can understand that the fortune is not trusted to each blood type. We are just interested in it.
Blood type fortune-telling has only four types, but it’s simple. Simple fortune-telling is not trustable, but it’s enjoyable. It is sure that there is no way of telling a person’s fortune by using blood type fortune-telling because of its simplicity. Actually, there is only its result.
Then, why almost people know this fortune-telling? I don’t know well but maybe, there must be the power of mass media, or word of mouth, books, or great enthusiasm of people.
Finally, why do we often think that blood is related to us?
One of important thing we have in our bodies is blood. Blood is necessary for us. Both two can’t be divided, so people regard blood as something mysterious for a long time.
Furthermore, blood shows relation between child and parent and even is used as the way of expression of one’s emotion.
In Japanese words, there are “Chi ga sawagu”, which is used when we tingle with excitement or are thrilled, and “Chi de Chi wo arasou”, which means fighting with one’s blood relation. They have been used for a long time as idiomatic expression. Like this, in Japanese there are some words related to blood for a long time, so we tend to think that blood is related to us.
This fortune-telling was one of the popular topics, but recently it has proved that the blood type is NOT connected with each personality indeed, both scientifically and medically. My view is that this is like one of stereotype people have, so don’t “believe too much” J
By the way, according to statistic
in
About 40% people have blood type A, who care what people think about them at all time.
About 30% people have blood type O, who try to make more friends as many as possible.
About 20% people have blood type B, who go own way egocentrically.
About 10% people have blood type AB, who say strange things suddenly.
Perhaps, the world isn’t composed of only 4 unique types, I think…
Do you believe this “blood type fortune-telling”? Or do you think it is ridiculous, and reject because of this “discriminative fortune-telling”?
