The domain name of Japan-net will change from "japan-net.or.jp" to "japan-net.ne.jp" from January 1, 1999 because the rule of Domain name naming convension is changed by JPNIC( Japan Network Information Center). All Internet service providers which use "or.jp" domain needs to change their domain from "or.jp" to "ne.jp".

Until January 1, 1999 two kinds of domain names for Japan-net "japan-net.or.jp" and "japan-net.ne.jp") will be able to used for all Internet services provided by Japan-net, but only "japan-net.ne.jp" will> be able to used from the begining of next year.

Please change all Japan-net server names on your computer from xxx.japan-net.or.jp to xxx.japan-net.ne.jp.

For example ower user's Electric mail account and homepage URL will be changed as follows,

	Old		New
Electric mail	"UserName@japan-net.or.jp"	--->	"UserName@japan-net.ne.jp"
Homepage URL	"http://www.japan-net.or.jp/~UserName/"	--->	"http://www.japan-net.ne.jp/~UserName"

New Web Server Name is www.japan-net.ne.jp.
